Afroman started Hungry Hustler Records in 2004 after parting ways with Universal. This freedom would allow him to release the kind of music that he wants to put out, in addition to releasing music from other fellow hustlers. In 2004 Hungry Hustler released the follow-up to the platinum selling Good Times with Afroholic...The Even Better Times. Later in the year he followed up with Jobe Bells, a Christmas parody album, 4R0:20, and finally The Hungry Hustlerz-Starvation is Motivation, the first album to feature some of the upcoming artists of Hungry Hustler Records.
